DollarTrips' role in flight intermediation:

DollarTrips acts as an intermediary between the traveler and the operating airline. The air transport contract is concluded directly between the passenger and the air carrier, subject to the airline's General Conditions of Carriage and the Montreal Convention.

1. Passenger Data & Spelling

The passenger is directly responsible for correctly and completely entering their first and last name according to the travel document (Passport / ID Card). Airlines do not allow free name corrections after the e-ticket is issued, and subsequent modifications may incur substantial fees or ticket cancellation.

2. Baggage Policy

Each airline (especially low-cost operators like Wizz Air, Ryanair, easyJet) applies strict rules regarding baggage dimensions and weight:

  • Small cabin bag (backpack/handbag): Usually included for free if it fits under the seat in front.
  • Cabin trolley (10 kg) / Priority Baggage: Available optionally for an extra fee.
  • Checked baggage (10kg, 20kg, 26kg, 32kg): Charged additionally per flight segment.

3. Check-in Procedure

For low-cost airlines, online check-in is mandatory and usually opens 24-48 hours before the flight. Checking in directly at the airport may incur an additional fee from the airline. DollarTrips provides passengers with instructions and booking codes (PNR) to complete the check-in.

4. Air Passenger Rights (EC Regulation 261/2004)

In case of a delay of more than 3 hours on arrival, flight cancellation, or denied boarding due to reasons attributable to the carrier, passengers are entitled to assistance rights (food, drinks, accommodation) and financial compensation ranging from 250 EUR to 600 EUR according to Regulation (EC) No. 261/2004, requested directly from the operating airline.
