DollarTrips' role in accommodation intermediation:
DollarTrips intermediates hotel bookings with suppliers and partner hotel networks. The accommodation contract is governed by the internal regulations and cancellation/modification policy of the selected accommodation unit.
1. Check-in and Check-out Times
As a general international rule, check-in is after 14:00 or 15:00, and check-out is before 10:00 or 11:00 (local hotel time). In case of late arrivals (after 20:00), the traveler must notify the hotel reception in advance.
2. Local City Taxes and Security Deposits
Certain tourist destinations (e.g., Italy, Spain, Greece, France, UAE) charge city taxes or climate/ecological taxes per night per person, which according to local laws are paid exclusively at the hotel reception. Also, some hotels may require a refundable security deposit at check-in (card preauthorization or cash).
3. Room Type and Special Requests
Special requests (such as a double bed or twin beds, upper floor, sea view, baby cot) are transmitted to the hotel as preferential requests and are honored subject to actual availability at the time of check-in.
